Part‑time High School Math & Science Tutor at Oxford Learning South Surrey Grandview Heights. The role is in‑person and requires commuting to the center.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching up to three students at a time at different levels.
- Following Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Completing post‑lesson notes.
- Updating daily student communication.
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field is preferred.
- University students with tutoring experience will be considered.
- Good knowledge of current Grades 8‑12 math, Pre‑Calc 11 and 12, Physics and Chemistry.
Experience
- Experience teaching/tutoring math at Grade 8‑12 (or equivalent) level.
- Robust English written and oral communication skills.
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
Schedule
- Evenings (3 pm–8 pm), Monday‑Friday, with occasional Saturday availability.
Compensation
$20 per hour.
Other Requirements
- Must be available for after‑school hours starting at 3 pm Monday‑Friday and occasional Saturdays.
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory for all positions.
- Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the South Surrey area.
