Job Title: Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate
Location: Bedford, NS
Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
The Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate will support daily warehouse operations by safely operating a forklift, moving materials, organizing inventory, and assisting with order picking, packing, and shipping duties.
This role requires someone who is safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable performing both forklift operation and general warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely to load, unload, and move materials
- Complete pre-shift inspections and routine safety checks on the forklift
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing incoming materials and supplies
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
- Stack, sort, and maintain organized warehouse inventory
- Move and stage product throughout the warehouse as required
- Maintain a clean and protected work area
- Follow company safety procedures and workplace protocols
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid forklift operator certification required
- Previous forklift experience in a warehouse, production, or distribution environment required
- Previous warehouse experience considered an asset
- Able to lift, move, and handle materials as required
- Comfortable performing physical warehouse tasks throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- CSA-approved safety boots required
