Contract: Up to 18 Months
Are you passionate about conducting analysis and identifying key findings? Reporting to the Manager, Retail Operations Planning, you will play a key role in processing, reconciling, and tracking invoices for the division. You will also support budgeting activities for all stores and Retail Head Office cost centres and contribute to financial reporting, analysis, and other planning initiatives. About the Role Assist the Manager, Retail Operations Planning in planning, developing, coordinating, and administering the division's budgeting process for 690+ stores and all Retail Head Office cost centres.
Process, reconcile, and track invoices, ensuring supporting documentation is complete and submitted in accordance with company procedures and timelines.
Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and correct coding, and follow up with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
Support special projects by conducting data analysis, identifying trends, and assisting with the implementation and review of process improvements.
Assist with the preparation, updating, and formatting of PowerPoint presentations, briefing materials, executive decks, and reports for meetings and business reviews.
Develop and maintain databases and reporting tools used to track progress in sales, labour, and expense spending, KPI's and other metrics, Trade Area impacts of new stores, Health and Safety reporting, Daily Sales Forecasting, and vendor contract oversight, to report at various levels of the company.




Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple reporting platforms and databases, applying best practices in data governance.
About You Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, data science, or business.
3+ years of work experience in a similar position.
Financial designations such as CPA would be considered an asset.
Solid attention to detail, with the ability to accurately review invoices, financial information, and supporting documentation.
Formal training or certification in PowerBI or similar analytics software would be considered an asset.
Highly developed understanding of LCBO retail operations and retailing in general.
Must have the ability to undertake and explain complex financial and statistical analyses.
Experience with various software packages with bias to enterprise resource planning systems (primarily SAP), statistical modeling software (primarily Microsoft Excel), and business intelligence software (primarily Microsoft PowerBI).
Demonstrate understanding of the complexities and sensitivities of operating a "government business entity" in a competitive marketplace.
A sound understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) principles would be considered an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
