Become a Casual Cook at AgeCare’s thriving Long-Term Care residence, where fostering residents' health and well-being is our priority. You’ll ensure meals are prepared on time and maintain a safe, sanitary workspace.

In this role, you will be responsible for meal preparation and timely service while ensuring cleanliness and safety in the kitchen workplace. Your experience as a Cook, ideally with supervisory duties, will enable you to check diet orders and respond to resident concerns with effective solutions. You’ll also guide Food Services Workers to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve meals in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen




• Check special diet orders for new residents
• Address resident or family concerns promptly
• Direct and oversee Food Services Workers as needed

Requirements:
• Prior cooking experience, preferably in a supervisory role
• Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Minimum public school education; high school preferred
• Diploma in quality food preparation
• Strong commitment to resident care and safety
