With a focus on teamwork, innovation, and efficiency, we are committed to providing our employees with a collaborative environment to thrive and grow.Position SummaryAs a People & Systems Administrator, you play an important role in supporting the day-to-day administration and coordination of our people, systems, and operational processes. This position is highly detail-oriented and fast-paced, requiring strong organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across payroll, HR, health & safety, and operational systems administration. You will be responsible for independently administering and processing full-cycle biweekly payroll, while also supporting core people and systems functions including HRIS administration, employee record management, benefits and RRSP administration, health & safety administration, certificate and training tracking, and ongoing support and maintenance of operational systems such as Monday.Com. This role acts as a key support resource to both employees and leadership by helping ensure accurate information, organized processes, and efficient workflows across the business. Success in this position requires a proactive mindset, solid communication skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to work confidently with sensitive and time-sensitive information. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both people and systems, thrives in a highly administrative and process-oriented role, and takes pride in keeping things organized, accurate, and running smoothly.Duties & ResponsibilitiesIndependently process and administer full-cycle biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across the organizationEnsure accurate payroll processing including employee setup, earnings, deductions, taxable benefits, vacation pay, overtime, payroll adjustments, and related payroll administrationProcess and maintain payroll-related documentation including Records of Employment (ROEs), T4s, employee updates, and year-end payroll administrationMaintain compliance with payroll legislation, company policies,
and payroll reporting requirementsCoordinate with managers and supervisors to ensure accurate and timely submission of employee hours and payroll informationMaintain accurate payroll records and assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, and administrative follow-upMaintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS system (BambooHR)Process employee updates including wage changes, promotions, status changes, benefit changes, and personal information updatesPrepare employee documentation including employment letters, forms, policy acknowledgements, and HR-related correspondenceSupport onboarding and offboarding administration processesMaintain organized HR files and digital employee records with a high level of confidentiality and accuracyAdminister employee advantages enrollment, changes, and terminationsSupport employees with benefits and RRSP program questions and administrative requestsCoordinate RRSP contribution updates and maintain accurate tracking recordsLiaise with benefits and RRSP providers as requiredSupport the administration, upkeep, organization, and monitoring of Monday.Com and other operational systemsAssist with workflow tracking, operational data entry, and process monitoring within company systemsSupport the administration and tracking of health & safety documentation, training, and compliance requirementsMaintain employee training records, certifications, licenses, and compliance documentationAssist with training matrix management and tracking of expiring certificationsCoordinate booking and scheduling of required training programs and renewalsIdentify opportunities for administrative, operational, and systems improvementsBuild positive working relationships with employees, managers, and external partnersMaintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, organization,
and attention to detail in all work performedDesired Skills & Experience1-3 years of previous experience in payroll administration, HR administration, or a similar rolePCP designation or formal payroll education strongly preferredPrevious experience independently processing full-cycle payroll is requiredStrong understanding of payroll legislation, payroll compliance requirements, ROEs, T4s, remittances, and payroll best practicesExperience with HRIS systems (Bamboo HR) and payroll software (Jonas)Experience with Monday.Com or similar operational/project management software is considered an assetStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesHigh attention to detail and accuracyComfortable working with systems, technology, and data managementStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information professionallyAbility to work independently while supporting a team-oriented team settingExperience within construction or a fast-paced operational environment is considered an assetCompensation & BenefitsThe starting salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 a year, dependent on experience.BenefitsCompetitive compensationCompany-paid group benefitsRRSP matching programProfit sharing programCompany eventsStable, full time, year-round employmentA collaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunities to contribute to process improvements and business growthA growing company with a strong reputation in the industryEEO StatementT.
