Intact is seeking a Claims Specialist, Property, to enhance our team in Mississauga, Ajax, and Ottawa. This role primarily focuses on managing complex property claims with exceptional customer service.
In this key position, you will investigate and settle high complexity claims, providing superior service to our customers. You’ll analyze claims data, interpret insurance policies, and negotiate settlements with various stakeholders while collaborating with internal departments. Your knowledge and experience will be crucial in making informed decisions to benefit our clients and the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate, manage, and settle high complexity property claims
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients




• Analyze claims data and interpret policy wording
• Negotiate settlements with stakeholders efficiently
• Assist in evaluating and negotiating large losses
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Property Claims Adjusting
• High-level knowledge of Xactimate software
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of mitigation and construction procedures
• University degree or relevant training experience
