Join AgeCare’s interdisciplinary team in the Long Term Care, Mental Health specialty program. With a diploma in Community/Mental Health or related fields, and 2+ years of relevant experience, you will provide essential support to residents aged 18 and older. Using a strength-based approach, you’ll facilitate residents’ problem-solving and social integration, fostering a resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for resident support
• Provide behaviour and symptom support to mental health residents
• Foster community re-integration and overall well-being
• Build rapport and support residents’ competencies
• Report any unsafe activities or behaviors promptly
Requirements:
• Diploma or Certificate in Community/Mental Health
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mental health settings
• Experience in non-violent crisis intervention
• Strong observation skills and team collaboration
• CPR and First Aid certification required
