We are seeking a curious & analytical Software Developer within our Caivan | ABIC Business Engineering Team. This is an entry-level development role responsible for building and testing software solutions that support and enhance processes throughout the business, under the guidance of senior members of the Team. This role focuses on implementing well-defined features for web applications, desktop applications, and plugins. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to learning our stack and our development standards, and to producing reliable, defect-free work.

You will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent demonstrable experience
Exceptional Skills Required
Exceptional logical and critical thinking skills to quickly grasp business concepts and derive thorough, insight-focused solutions
Solid verbal & written communication skills in English
Key Responsibilities
Implement well-defined software features for web applications, desktop applications, and plugins according to internal code standards
Use Git to manage source code, following the team’s branching and version-control practices
Test features thoroughly before they reach the customer to ensure they are free of defects
Manage your own time and prioritize assigned tasks to meet committed timelines
Learn and apply our current stack to develop assigned projects
Follow the team’s development standard
Maintain and update existing applications to meet the evolving needs of the business
Identify and resolve software bugs reported by users in a timely and efficient manner
Communicate progress and elevate issues to the team when required
Perform any other duties, as required
Our Stack
Tanstack & NextJS: Framework for full-stack web app development.
Vercel: Used for hosting and deployment of frontend applications.
SQL & PostgreSQL: A combination of databases used for data storage.
.NET/C#: Used primarily for plugin development and maintenance of existing apps.
Working Conditions
Full time, in-person within a collaborative project environment
Extended periods of computer work may be required
Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies or equipment may be required
The job description implies the performance of repetitive tasks
Visits to construction sites and manufacturing facilities may be required from time to time
Travel to municipal offices, consultant offices, and construction sites, as required
Site visits
PPE is required at all times in field settings (steel toes, hard hat, Hi-Vis)
Hold a valid G license with access to a reliable vehicle
