ScopeofPosition

The Community Business Banking Officer (CBBO) is the lead role involved in outbound, banker-initiated contact of members/clients using in branch renewal lists, branch and marketing lead lists for Personal and community small business members/clients. The focus of this role is to contact and meet with designated members/clients in an effort to understand and meet their overall day to day banking and cash management needs, consolidate share of wallet and refer to more senior bankers as required. Sales are driven by appointments generated from the pro-active calling and up selling of referrals that have been provided by other sales professionals.

Proactivelypromote/sellanddeliverafullrangeofbankingproductsandservicestomeetourmembers/clients’needs

Followsalesandservicemodelbyattendingandactivelyparticipatinginbranchmeetings,huddles,initiativesandcampaigns

Maximizessalesopportunitiesbyusingeffectivesalesinterviewingskillsthatuncoverlongertermfinancialmembers/clients’needs

Providefinancialadvicetomembers/clientswithinvestment/creditneedsrequiringmoderatefinancialsolutions,usingAlterna’sfinancialcalculators

Acquireandreferpotentialhighvaluemembers/clients’relationshipstoIAs,SMEandexternalpartners





Maintainaworkingknowledgeandunderstandingofallproductsandservicesweofferandkeepuptodatewithproceduralchanges.

Understandandapplyrisk-basedpricingmodelsanduserationalpricingdiscretiontoensureeverycustomerisprofitable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification/Experience

Postsecondaryeducationcombinedwith3yearsrelatedexperienceinafinancialinstitutionoranequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience

Proventrackrecordinsales

CSCorIFICcourseanasset

AspartofcontinuingeducationenrolledinFinancialPlanningorothersimilartypeprograms

Knowledge/Skills
