This Full time role within School District #23 involves working with youth affected by mental health challenges. You will closely collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals, providing tailored support to enhance the understanding of mental health among students. Utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities, you’ll help youth cultivate strategies for mental wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with youth experiencing significant mental health challenges
• Facilitate communication between families and school staff
• Implement evidence-based treatment plans for students
• Participate in safety planning and assessments
• Support youths’ emotional and psychological development
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in social work or psychology preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical mental health
• Familiarity with youth and family counseling practices
• Must have a valid BC Driver’s License
• Complete a criminal record check
