The RK is home to 136 residents and has over 300 caring staff.
About the Position : Reporting to the Junior Accountant and the Director of Finance, the Accounting Clerk supports the Finance Department’s operations. In alignment with our Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Resident-Centred Care philosophy, the Accounting Clerk acts as a positive role model and partner in providing care and support to residents while representing the Home in a positive, professional, efficient, and confidential manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Functions & responsibilities
Pension/Benefits – Supports Junior Accountant and Director of Finance
Deposits
Accounts Receivable
Membership on RK Committees as designated, if time permits.
Required, Education and Experience:
Required – Completion of a recognized college or university program in accounting or finance, AND/OR 2+ years of related experience in an accounting and finance work setting.
Required – Demonstrated experience working with ERP Software, payroll and scheduling software.
Required – Demonstrated experience in MS365 (Microsoft).
Communicates effectively with residents, visitors, and staff.
Works efficiently with minimal supervision and sound judgment using well developed critical thinking skills.
Maintains confidentiality, integrity,



accuracy, and attention to detail.
Job Type: 2-year, contracted position (with the possibility of extension)
Hours of Work: Non-union – Temp Full Time Monday – Friday hrs may flex as necessary. Paid 80 hrs bi weekly, paid breaks and lunch.
Benefits Pension NSHEPP can be differed 3 mos. Benefits Health, Dental, Life, Ltd
Salary: $55,432 per annum on contract ($26.65/hr.)
