Snow School Director
Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area | Huntsville, Ontario

Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Snowschool Director to lead our Snowschool team and programs.

The Opportunity

Leading and developing a team of seasonal instructors.

Recruiting, training, scheduling and coaching staff.

Overseeing multi-week programs, private lessons, school groups, camps and other Snowschool programming.

Developing programs and opportunities to grow participation and revenue.

Managing the Snowschool budget and monitoring financial performance.

Ensuring a consistently high standard of guest service, program quality and safety.

Working closely with the Snowschool Admin Assistant and other Hidden Valley departments.

Supporting staff development and remaining active on snow through instruction and training.

What We’re Looking For

Current CSIA or CASI Level 2 certification or higher; Level 3 is an asset. Current CSIA course conductor and/or CASI evaluator preferred and/or current CASI/CSIA trainer certification. Dual certification CASI/CSIA an asset.

Experience in a Snowschool, ski/snowboard instruction or related leadership environment.

Previous supervisory or management experience

Strong knowledge of ski and snowboard instruction and instructor development.

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Ability to recruit, motivate and develop seasonal staff.

Familiarity and comfort with online scheduling systems,



e-commerce platforms, and Google Workspace an asset.

Strong customer service skills and sound judgment.

Comfortable working with budgets, scheduling and administrative systems.

We’re looking for someone who is positive, approachable, organized and passionate about developing people and creating great guest experiences.

Working Conditions
This is a hands-on leadership position requiring significant time outdoors during the winter season as well as significant time working in an office workplace, the ideal candidate will be comfortable shifting between indoor and outdoor environments as needed by the demands of the job. The successful candidate must be comfortable skiing or snowboarding for extended periods and working in winter conditions. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays during the ski season.

Compensation & Position Details
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonus and applicable staff benefits and privileges.
