This full-time position reports to the Executive Director of Staff and Community Relations. As a Láts’ú:mexw Coordinator, you will facilitate vital relationships across over 140 communities to support Indigenous children and youth in care. You will work to help them understand their heritage and facilitate connections to their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate connections between children and their home communities
• Create a registry database for children and youth in care
• Assist in developing formal connections for youth
• Promote the agency’s mission and vision
• Collaborate with Elders and community leaders as needed
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Social Work or Indigenous Studies
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and historical impacts
• Solid communication skills for report writing
• Relationship-building skills with Indigenous communities
• Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation
