Shape young minds as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher at the Durham District School Board. This role is focused on engaging grades 4 and 5 students in a vibrant learning environment.

As an LTO, you will implement interactive lessons that align with the curriculum while assessing and monitoring student progress. You’ll create a nurturing classroom that encourages inclusivity and collaboration with parents and the community. Ensure every student feels valued while adapting teaching methods to cater to their varied learning needs, making a significant educational impact.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create and deliver interactive, curriculum-based lessons
• Monitor and assess student growth and development




• Maintain an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
• Work collaboratively with parents and colleagues
• Tailor teaching strategies to diverse student needs

Requirements:
• Ontario teaching certificate in good standing
• Training in grades 4/5 curriculum development
• Solid commitment to fostering equity and inclusion
• Criminal Background Check required upon hire
• Readiness to inspire diverse student populations
