About the role: Reporting to the AVP of RCM Program Governance, the Senior Compliance Analyst – Privacy is the lead subject matter expert responsible for executing the privacy risk management program at Peoples Group. The Senior Compliance Analyst is a self-driven and detail-oriented individual who has experience in providing privacy compliance support and advisory services, working with various stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the privacy framework across the enterprise.
About the day-to-day: Independently manages the continued development and maintenance of the privacy risk management program
Supportongoing adherence to privacy regulatory requirements and the Privacy Program, including the development of privacy-related policies and procedures.
Monitor federal and provincial laws, policies, and privacy best practices to ensure continued compliance.
Support the preparation of reports on the status of the program to executive leadership and the board of directors.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to privacy and data protection.
Promote a culture of privacy awareness and data protection throughout the organization.
Routinely provide support to stakeholders across the enterprise in meeting privacy regulatory requirements; independently responds to privacy inquiries and conducts privacy impact assessments on internal initiatives and external partners
Provide privacy advisory support to internal and external stakeholders in understanding recent and existingrequirementsincluding embedding privacy by design wherever possible.
Lead responses to privacy inquiries and complete privacy impact assessments for internal projects and partner onboarding initiatives.
Support management in streamlining the process ofidentifying,managingand escalatingprivacy complianceissuesthrough onboardingprocesses.
Participate in the development of new business initiatives to ensure privacy considerations are incorporated from the outset.
Provide guidance on data handling practices, including data collection, processing, storage, and disposal.
Oversight,



Governance & Escalation Has the authority to provide effectiveoversight on privacy programs to ensure privacy risks are appropriatelyidentified, assessed, and managed.
Lead and manage privacy breach incidents, including initial assessment, investigation, containment, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory notification where required.
Support interaction with regulatory authorities on privacy-related issues and manage data breach incidents and reporting.
Contribute to compliance risk assessments, issues management, and reporting tomanagement.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management Independently build strong, collaborative relationships with business leaders,externalpartners,legal, risk management, technology, and operations teams.
Collaboratewithothersecond-line compliance colleagues to ensure consistency of privacy advice and approach across the enterprise.
Lead/Collaborate with other teams to support responses to client asks / current requirements and new onboardings.
Leadership, Management & Capability Building Mentor Analysts toassistin deliveringorganizationalmandates.
Provide coaching, guidance, training and privacy subject matter expertise to stakeholders across the enterprise.
Contribute to the development of privacy and data management policies, standards, training, and advisory tools.
Foster a strong culture of compliance, risk management, and customer fairness.
About the qualifications: 4+ years of experience in privacy compliance, ideally within financial services.
Post-secondary degree/designation from an accredited college or university.
Strong knowledge of privacy compliance principles and practices.
Strong knowledge of information privacy issues and information systems.
Demonstrate ability for sound judgement, problem-solving, and advisory skills.
Ability to recognize and focus on critical issues and balance and respond to competing needs throughout the organization.
International Association of Privacy Professionals Certified Information Privacy Professional and/or Canadian Association of Professional Access and Privacy. Administrators Access and Privacy Professional Certification is considered an asset.




Proficiency in French is considered an asset.

Compensation: The expected salary for this role isapproximately$85,000.00 - $95,000.00annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
