Graduation with an Engineering Technician or Technology diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
*Significant experience of geological, mining or materials testing in a laboratory or field setting, relevant to the duties of the position.*Significant is defined as experience acquired over approximately 5 years.
Experience working within a Quality Management System framework and following Standard Operating Procedures
Experience working with database or spreadsheet software.
Experience providing services for clients.
Applied / assessed at a later date
KnowledgeKnowledge of rock mechanics principals and monitoring techniques applied to ground control for underground mines.
Knowledge of geomechanical laboratory testing methods and procedures.
Knowledge of data processing and analysis techniques and methods for validating data for accuracy.
Knowledge of safety practices applied in a laboratory or industrial setting.

Asset EducationA diploma with a relevant Engineering Technician or Technology specialization from a recognized post-secondary institution, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Asset ExperienceExperience conducting rock mechanics tests in a geological or civil engineering testing laboratory.
Experience working in a research and development environment.
Experience working with machine shop equipment.
Experience with industrial equipment, including hydraulic equipment, instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
