Take on a vital role as a Transitional Support Worker in Whitehorse, YT, with the Government of Yukon. Support youth through trauma-informed care in a dynamic and challenging environment.

This position requires a passionate individual who can create nurturing environments for children and youth in care. Our Transitional Support Services aim to address complex care needs through empathy and a strengths-based approach. Your experience with Yukon First Nations culture and commitment to continuous professional development will be essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide continuous support in a 24/7 living workplace
• Assist youth in achieving their personal goals
• Develop and implement effective care strategies
• Manage aggressive behaviors with compassion and respect
• Work as a team to coordinate client care

Requirements:
• Education or training in child and youth services
• Experience with challenging youth behaviors
• Understanding of the impacts of trauma
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Availability for variable shift work

Facilitate change and healing in the lives of Yukon youth through dedicated and informed care.
