As an Auxiliary Animal Care Technician, you will provide essential husbandry for laboratory animals, ensuring their health and welfare while maintaining the facility's organization. Key responsibilities include administering medications, performing health checks, and managing inventory. Collaborate effectively with a diverse team while making recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily health checks and record observations
• Provide food, water, and clean housing for animals
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility
• Assist with anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Collect and record inventory of supplies
Requirements:
• Secondary School completion or equivalent experience
• Up to 6 months of relevant experience
• Animal Health Technology degree is an asset
• Registered Lab Animal Technician certification is a plus
• Willingness to respect diverse perspectives
