In this role, reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will conduct thorough research and facilitate government relations initiatives. Your analytical skills will be critical in providing insights for organizational planning and advocacy. Collaborating with senior leadership, you will help navigate legislative changes and contribute to the development of policies that impact First Nations communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate government relations and senior leadership meetings
• Conduct comparative research on existing policies
• Develop recommendations based on policy analysis
• Monitor political developments and government budgets
• Provide support for UN-related initiatives affecting Indigenous priorities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or related discipline
• Five years of experience in policy analysis and development
• Strong knowledge of Indigenous governance structures
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships
