As a Youth Worker, you will leverage your educational background and hands-on experience to supervise shelter residents effectively. Utilizing your communication and conflict resolution skills, you will also handle documentation and ensure adherence to shelter standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety and supportive care for youth residents
• Accurately record client interactions within the SMIS
• Work collaboratively to develop and manage case plans
• Lead and evaluate engaging group programming for residents
• Contribute to the smooth operation of the shelter daily
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in a related field
• At least one year of experience working with youth
• Sound knowledge of youth support issues
• Current First Aid/CPR and UMAB certifications
• Commitment to inclusive practices and professional standards
