WSP is seeking an Intermediate Mine Waste Engineer to support the design and performance monitoring of mine waste facilities. This role emphasizes geotechnical engineering and environmental practices to meet industry standards and ensure client satisfaction. You'll collaborate with diverse teams to promote safety and sustainability throughout project life cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design tailings storage facilities and waste rock dumps
• Conduct stability and seepage analyses for assessments
• Develop mine waste management plans for client projects
• Monitor performance and recommend necessary improvements
• Produce data-driven technical reports for stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in civil or related engineering
• 5-7 years' experience in mine waste management
• Skilled Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligibility
• Knowledge of geotechnical principles and software
• Willingness to travel for project site support
