North Ridge Development Corporation, Saskatchewans leading home builder, is seeking a Residential Draftsperson / Construction Estimator to join our Regina team for a one-year term, with the potential for extension or transition to permanent full time employment.

Drafting Duties/ Estimating Duties

Construction drawings: Prepare complete residential construction drawings using AutoCAD or Revit.

Building standards: Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning bylaws, and engineering requirements.

Building systems: Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems with trade partners.

Plan revisions: Update drawings for client, site, municipal, and engineering changes.

Project estimates: Prepare detailed cost estimates (including material take-offs) for production and custom homes.

Trade and supplier quotes:



Obtain and evaluate quotes to maintain competitive project costs.

Value engineering: Identify practical alternatives to reduce costs while maintaining design intent, quality, and performance.

Education & Experience

Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Three or more years of relevant residential construction, drafting, or estimating experience is preferred.

Drafting candidates should be able to provide examples of relevant construction drawings.
