Drive community integration for newcomers as the Program Coordinator at MCC BC’s Current Foundations in Victoria and Westshore. This full-time position centers on enhancing life skills, financial literacy, and employment readiness.
As the New Foundations Program Coordinator, you will lead a participant-centered program that aims to build competencies necessary for newcomers to thrive. This role includes managing workshops and one-on-one sessions while collaborating with volunteers and community organizations, ensuring the program’s goals align with MCC BC’s mission. Your personal commitment to Christian values will be at the core of fostering community engagement and support among diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate program activities at two locations
• Facilitate essential workshops and support initiatives
• Supervise program interns and engage volunteers
• Cultivate relationships with community service providers
• Manage budgeting and accurate reporting for funders
Requirements:
• Background in program and budget management
• Two years’ experience in adult education settings
• Legally able to work in Canada
• Solid knowledge of the challenges faced by newcomers
• Valid BC Driver’s License and satisfactory record
