Investment Banking Analyst (Graduates and Experienced Hires) - Toronto Your Focus As an Investment Banking Analyst, your focus is on supporting clients through complex capital markets and advisory transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising. You will work closely with senior bankers to analyse opportunities, structure transactions, and help clients make informed strategic decisions. The role is execution-driven and detail-intensive. You will build and maintain financial analyses, support transaction execution, and contribute to client materials used in live deals. You will also help assess risk, ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, and maintain the highest standards of accuracy, judgement, and professionalism. This role suits someone who is analytically rigorous, commercially aware, and motivated by working at pace on high-stakes transactions. You will be expected to take ownership of your work, communicate clearly with colleagues and clients, and contribute meaningfully to deal delivery in a demanding, regulated environment. Responsibilities Support the execution of investment banking transactions, including M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory mandates Build and maintain detailed financial models and analyses to evaluate transactions and strategic options Prepare client-facing materials, including pitch decks, information memoranda, and transaction documentation Conduct company, industry,



and market research to support deal origination and execution Assist senior bankers in coordinating transaction workstreams and managing timelines Support due diligence processes, including data analysis and coordination with internal and external stakeholders Contribute to client development activities through research, analysis, and preparation of marketing materials Assess transaction-related risks and support adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal control requirements Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation, and confidentiality across all work Work effectively with colleagues across banking, markets, legal, risk, and compliance teams Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree ideally in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline. We accept also individuals from any degree, especially those numerate based. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce transparent client-ready materials. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Sound judgement and a strong understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory expectations. Reward Structure Analyst annual base salary of $160,000 and up to $200,000 Canadian Dollars depending on experience.
