What You’ll Do
Deliver high-quality, individualized care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Ensure residents’ needs are met with empathy, respect, and professionalism
Act as primary contact for residents and families, addressing inquiries and involving them in care decisions
Supervise, schedule, and support care staff through training, coaching, and Chartwell’s values
Uphold policies and regulatory standards, ensuring safe medication practices and accurate clinical documentation
Collaborate with managers across departments to deliver holistic, integrated resident care
Support budgeting, staffing, and purchasing to maintain operational and resource efficiency
Liaise with physicians, pharmacies, and community partners; participate in outreach, marketing, and Manager on Duty rotation
What You’ll Bring
Minimum of two years clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in geriatrics or memory care
Previous management or supervisory experience is an asset
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses
Leadership and team-building skills
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Retirement Homes Act and Nursing Act
Valid Driver’s License, or reliable means of transportation

Additional Requirements
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
CPR and First Aid certification
Valid provincial driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Comfort using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work
Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
