What is the prospect?
Next Best Action (NBA) is a specialized group within RBC Personal Banking that combines, data, marketing, advanced analytics & AI to bring hyper personalization to all RBC clients across all client touchpoints. By leveraging RBC’s large data scale, artificial intelligence (AI), privileged loyalty program and partnerships, NBA has the ambition to bring the best of RBC to help clients achieve their financial goals, tailoring the experience for every client such that the message is perfectly timed, presented in path and personalized for that specific client need. Embedded across Lines of Business and aligned with marketing, digital, and product teams, NBA is critical to deepening client relationships, increasing engagement, and enhancing how we show up for clients daily. NBA is foundational in RBC’s Personal Banking strategy to deliver more value for all Canadians through simpler experiences, more thoughtful recommendations, and more holistic support. The team directly contributes to RBC’s ambition to Win for Tomorrow by enabling hyper-personalized journeys that are scalable, measurable, and powered by leading-edge analytics and AI innovation.

This role works in the office 4 days a week.

What will you do?

Insights translation - Design, execute, and evaluate enterprise-level marketing experiments in personal banking across channels and client segments; translate complex test results into clear, actionable insights that influence strategy and campaign performance.

Data science - Develop data science strategy for the team to adopt and modernize experimentation toolkits (causal modelling, treatment effect modelling); create scalable data pipelines for analytical-ready datasets to automate KPI calculations.

Collaboration - Partner across Lines of Business, Data & Analytics, Technology, Digital,



and Marketing to embed experimentation into the end-to-end campaign lifecycle; present findings to leadership and maintain documentation, Github repositories, data security compliance, and best practices.

What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:

2+ Years of Experience in Data Science and Analytics

An advanced academic background in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Manage code version control, peer reviews, and collaboration workflows for all data infrastructure using GitHub.

Knowledge of advanced testing methodologies (e.g., A/B testing. Bayesian methods, CMAB).

Advance Knowledge in Statistics & Causal Inference (e.g. hypothesis testing, power analysis, ANOVA, variance reduction, sampling techniques)

Advance Knowledge in marketing related machine learnings (e.g. classification, regression, ranking, uplift)

Programming experience with large databases/datasets (using tools such as Python, PySpark & SQL).

Experience in designing and evaluating marketing experiments and interpreting results to drive business impact.

Business acumen and understanding of enterprise marketing strategy and Banking products.

Nice to Have:

Design, build, and deploy robust data pipelines and directed acyclic graphs (DAGs) using Apache Airflow.

An MBA in marketing is an asset.

Experience in financial services, digital marketing, or large-scale client engagement programs
