Introduction
The Jim Pattison Auto Group is seeking a personable, thoughtful, and tech-savvy Service Advisor to be the welcoming face of the Service Department at Jim Pattison Volvo Cars North Vancouver. As the primary point of contact for Service customers, you’ll play an important role in creating a seamless, professional, and enjoyable service experience.
You’ll take pride in building lasting relationships with customers, understanding their vehicle needs, and keeping them informed throughout the service process. Staying organized, communicating clearly, and working closely with our technicians and Service team will be key to your success. Above all, you’ll help ensure every customer interaction reflects Volvo’s commitment to thoughtful design, safety, quality, and exceptional customer care.
Schedule : This is a full-time, permanentrole of 40 hours per week. The schedule will be based on the dealership’s operational requirements.
Pay Range : $65,000–$83,000 per year, depending on the candidate experience.
This role reports to the Service Manager of the dealership.

Greet Service customers and ensure the customer’s needs are fully understood
Promptly and professionally answer incoming calls to the Service department
Accurately document all vehicle concerns onto Repair Orders and sell repairs and services to customers based on their needs
Prepare accurate quotes for recommended services and obtain customer approvals for repairs
Act as the liaison between the customer, the parts department, and the Automotive Technicians
Ensure customers are kept informed about the status of their vehicle, any additional recommended repairs that may be found, and wait times
Manage customer complaints respectfully and promptly; elevate concerns when appropriate
Conduct vehicle inspection walk-arounds before and after service appointments
Maintain a tidy, presentable work space
Ensure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer information
Participate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environment
Other administrative duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
A valid BC Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract report
Previous experience in the automotive industry as a Service Advisor is preferred, with experience with CDK One-Eighty software considered an asset
Previous, related experience in a customer-facing role would be considered an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong customer-service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
Good data entry skills, with strong accuracy
Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to stay calm and focused in a face-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Good written and spoken communication skills
Ability to work in close proximity to a noisy automotive shop
Ability to periodically work outdoors during the day to complete vehicle inspections, with exposure to various weather conditions including sun, rain, wind, snow, heat, and cold
