Overview

We are seeking an Early Childhood Assistant to support early childhood educators in fostering the developmental growth of children.

Responsibilities

- Assess children’s development to prepare a tailored learning plan.
- Assist early childhood educators in delivering programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Lead activities with stories, songs, and local field trips.
- Assist with record keeping and preparation of observations for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Engage children in activities including storytelling, songs, and crafts.
- Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.




- Observe for potential learning or behavioural problems and report findings.
- Attend staff meetings to discuss child progress and challenges.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing setting for children.

Qualities & Requirements

- Education: College, CEGEP, or non‑university certificate or diploma (1–2 years).
- Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in early childhood settings.
- Education & Licensing: Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1), First Aid Certificate (preferred).
- Personal qualities: Flexibility, Reliability, Team player.
- Other: Willingness to relocate if needed; relocation costs covered by employer.
- Language: English (requirement).
