Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Following specific procedures, work patterns and routines as outlined in training and orientation, the associate will perform tasks such as:

- Mixing solutions for nursing and housekeeping staff, delivering supplies, removal of garbage, stripping floors.
- Cleaning windows and lights, sweeping and scrubbing areas such as janitor's closet, service entrance, laundry room, dining rooms, and elevators, performing heavy housekeeping duties and small repairs.
- Performing outside work such as removing snow, and sanding or salting as required.
- Adhering to established department policies and procedures regarding quality management, safety, setting and infection control.
- Cooperating with other departments in tasks such as transferring residents, moving and storing supplies, and moving furniture and equipment.
- Participating in committee meetings such as infection control, quality management and safety, as required.




- Maintaining required records and information as directed.

Working Conditions

- Extensive standing and walking.
- Moving equipment.
- Considerable reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders.
- May be exposed to hazards from use of tools and power equipment.
- Exposure to biochemical substances and weather conditions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

- Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions.

$18.31 - $19.50
