Our client is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Remote Chemical Process Safety Analyst to join their expanding safety compliance team. Working remotely from any location in South Africa, you will focus on analyzing safety data, supporting risk assessments, and contributing to the development of robust safety procedures across various chemical operations. This role is vital for ensuring compliance with stringent safety regulations and promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization, leveraging digital tools for collaboration and analysis.
Key Responsibilities Analyze process safety incident reports, near misses, and audit findings to identify trends and systemic issues.
Support the facilitation and documentation of Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs).
Assist in the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
Conduct research on process safety best practices and regulatory updates.
Maintain and update safety databases and performance metrics.




Collaborate with site safety personnel and engineers via virtual communication channels to address safety concerns.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in process safety, risk management, or related safety roles.
Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and hazard analysis techniques.
Strong data analysis and report writing skills.
Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, suitable for a remote working environment.
