5+ years in cloud infrastructure or backend engineering with direct exposure to multi-tenant architecture, data residency, and uptime SLA commitments
Shipped production systems where a bug has legal or compliance consequences
Hands-on with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PIPEDA, or equivalent regulated environments
Can review and challenge AI-generated code and architectural decisions. Not threatened by AI tooling, not blindly trusting it
Can represent the technical platform for government IT evaluators
Comfortable inheriting existing TypeScript / Node.js / PostgreSQL codebase
