Heart & Stroke seeks a Coordinator for Advocacy and Coalition Support to enhance engagement in public health policy. This hybrid position aims to improve children's health outcomes.
As a key team member, you will support the efforts of the Stop Marketing to Kids Coalition and work closely with the Policy & Advocacy team. Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, drafting advocacy materials, and managing project activities. You will help foster relationships within the Coalition and lead the Youth Against Marketing to Kids council to drive impactful change.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and facilitate Coalition working group meetings
• Help members share advocacy materials and follow up
• Coordinate advocacy project meetings with critical stakeholders
• Document the Coalition's government meeting activities
• Manage updates to the Coalition's website
Requirements:
• Post-secondary background in political science or public health
• Knowledge of advocacy processes and health policy
• Experience with collaboration tools like SharePoint and Google Docs
• Effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Solid analytical and communication skills
