Unimax is looking for a Senior Lawyer to handle corporate governance and commercial contracts, ensuring legal compliance across the organization. This is a pivotal role that drives legal strategy and corporate compliance.

In this position, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and the Board of Directors while overseeing corporate governance practices and managing legal risks. Your strong background in commercial law and proven experience in mergers and acquisitions makes you a key player in facilitating business growth and compliance at Unimax. You will also be integral as the Corporate Secretary, organizing Board activities and ensuring regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and draft commercial agreements with stakeholders




• Maintain up-to-date corporate records and documents
• Participate in strategic acquisitions and legal due diligence
• Provide legal advice for operational objectives
• Coordinate the logistics of Board meetings

Requirements:
• Law degree (J.D. or LL.B.) presently registered with Barreau du Québec
• At least 10 years of experience in corporate law
• Experience in governance and M&A; transactions
• Robust negotiation and legal writing skills
• Fully bilingual in both English and French
