THE ROLE_ The Planner supports the planning, execution, and management of out-of-home media campaigns. Working closely with clients, media partners, and internal teams, the Planner contributes to campaign planning, proposals, negotiations, reporting, and the development of strategic recommendations.
This role is focused on learning Talon’s planning processes, developing a strong understanding of the OOH marketplace, and delivering accurate, high-quality work. It is an excellent prospect for a motivated, analytical, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual looking to build foundational knowledge and skills required to become an OOH media expert.
A DAY IN THE LIFE_ Maintain day-to-day contact for all clients, ensuring requests are executed efficiently and accurately while adhering to clients’ strategic direction
Support the building and curating of media plans and proposals with the line manager and/or other senior members of the planning team
Work closely with the planning team to manage client contact; vendor relationships; & all aspects of a campaign




Develop POVs and provide recommendations to clients
Provide administrative support to ensure seamless execution of plans
Anticipate client needs by identifying areas of growth in products/services/capabilities; collaborate with the planning team on opportunities within client group
Ensure process consistencies are met to achieve gold standards
Support senior team members as needed across all clients
Negotiate buys strategically to ensure savings and meet client objectives
Provide feedback to partners and vendors
Understand established systems and processes, follow them consistently, and raise opportunities for improvement
Become fluent with Talon’s proprietary buying/planning platforms
Stay up to date on industry trends and performance across all OOH channels
Build awareness and knowledge of media partner/vendor out-of-home portfolios
Develop POVs against client objectives and strategies for any new OOH opportunities/formats
Demonstrate a clear understanding of the client’s business by becoming a “student” of the client’s brand and client competition to better plan and align client objectives
Design and present in a professional manner to internal teams for approval
Organize and prioritize daily tasks effectively, seeking guidance from the line manager or senior team members as needed to ensure deadlines and expectations are met
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR_ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.




Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Proficient in data analysis and working with spreadsheets, Excel, and other relevant software.
Advanced skills in PowerPoint, with the ability to create visually appealing and effective presentations.
Basic understanding of media planning, advertising principles, and digital marketing.

*Dependent upon experience, the salary for this role can range from $50,000- $65,000*
