Our client, an employee-owned consulting engineering firm with a diverse team of engineers, technologists, biologists, agrologists, planners, scientists, is seeking an Intermediate Engineer/Project Manager for their Burnaby office. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid role, offering a base salary of $120-145k, depending on experience, along with a performance-based bonus, share ownership opportunities, RRSP matching, annual health & wellness allowance, and a generous benefits and vacation package.What You’ll DoManage and deliver municipal and Indigenous community infrastructure planning, design, and construction projectsWork in and lead multi-disciplinary project teams on a diverse range of engineering and planning projectsSupervise junior staff delivering infrastructure projects for public and private sector clientsSupport business and client relationship developmentPrepare proposals for competitive and non-competitive project opportunitiesDevelop community engagement materials and facilitate project workshops Prepare detailed design calculations and work with CAD team members on design drawing developmentWrite technical reports for community planning and infrastructure assessments and designDevelop detailed design drawings and specificationsPrepare construction bid documentsAdminister construction contracts; familiarity with CCDC and MMCD considered an assetSupervise construction inspections including quality control and assurance.What You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or a related engineering field8+ years of experience working in an engineering roleConsulting experience required; land development and subdivision design experience considered an assetRegistered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in B.C. or eligible for immediate registrationExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environmentUnderstanding of Indigenous Services Canada funding processes considered an assetIndigenous Cultural Safety Training and demonstrated experience working with Indigenous communities considered an assetA desire to learn current skills and an eagerness to grow within your roleA valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatoryMust be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work.
