Direct Support Professional – Residential / Day Program Hybrid Position (Full-Time)
12-Hour Hybrid Shift Position
Join our team in a unique hybrid role that combines both Residential and Day Program services, allowing you to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both their home environment and community-based day programming.
In this position, staff will begin their shift within a residential setting, assist individuals with their morning routines and daily living needs, transport and support participants throughout the Day Program from approximately 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and then return to the residential home to complete the remainder of the 12‑hour shift.
This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, versatile, and passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others while working in both residential and community-based settings.
Position Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to individuals in both residential and day program environments
Assist with personal care, hygiene, meals, medication administration, and daily living activities
Support individuals with emotional well-being, communication, social skills, and positive behavioral supports
Transport and accompany individuals safely between residential homes, community activities, appointments,
and Day Program services
Lead and participate in recreational, vocational, educational, and community-based activities
Monitor participant well-being and document behavioral, medical, or physical changes while maintaining accurate and confidential records
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in both residential homes and program spaces
Follow all agency policies, OSHA standards, infection control procedures, and emergency protocols
Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, families, and healthcare providers to ensure quality care and support
Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration Certification
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and active support needs as required
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office; Therap experience preferred
