This full time position entails developing and delivering programming responsive to the needs of individuals in the justice system. You will collaborate with Elders and community partners, ensuring Indigenous customs and practices are respected. As you support participants through cultural mentorship, your efforts will strengthen community ties and enhance local resources for healing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop culturally responsive programming that promotes healing
• Facilitate land-based programming and traditional ceremonies
• Assist participants in accessing community services
• Contribute cultural insights to multidisciplinary case plans
• Build partnerships with First Nations and community agencies
Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of Indigenous teachings
• Experience facilitating cultural activities and mentorship
• Strong conflict-resolution and communication abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel
• Current Criminal Record Check and driving license
