GFL Environmental is seeking a Licensed Heavy Duty Technician for their Calgary, AB location. This afternoon shift role focuses on maintaining and repairing diesel and alternative fuel trucks.

As a Licensed Heavy Duty Technician at GFL, you'll engage in diagnosing and repairing up-to-date CNG and diesel engines, as well as managing advanced electrical and hydraulic systems. You'll ensure the fleet operates safely while adhering to the proper maintenance guidelines. Additionally, you will mentor apprentice technicians and maintain compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose complex diesel engines and electric systems
• Conduct PM and safety inspections on vehicles
• Record vehicle repairs and parts usage accurately
• Plan and schedule vehicle maintenance tasks
• Mentor and train apprentice technicians

Requirements:
• Journeyman designation or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Personal tools required for repairs
• Familiarity with CVIP inspections preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
