Transform community engagement as an Interim Communications Specialist for Musqueam Indian Band. Effectively communicate with members and enhance outreach strategies in this full time role.

As the main contact for MIB communications, you will work under the guidance of the Marketing & Communications Manager. Your focus will be on implementing a strategic communications plan and ensuring consistent messaging throughout all channels, positively impacting members’ awareness and involvement in Musqueam initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee implementation of communication strategies effectively
• Craft communication resources for MIB members and the public
• Facilitate community engagement initiatives and feedback channels




• Design newsletters and corporate content tailored for MIB needs
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform strategies

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in communications with 4+ years’ experience
• Understanding of digital marketing best practices
• Experience in Indigenous contexts or diverse communities
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities
• Valid BC Driver’s License and Criminal Records Check
