Join the Squamish Nation as an Auxiliary Community Safety Team member, driving safety initiatives in North Vancouver and Squamish Valley. Your role will focus on patrols and community engagement.
We seek community-minded individuals passionate about public safety. As part of the CST, you'll monitor community areas, assist in crisis situations, and maintain communication with residents. Your observations will help enhance community safety and connections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct proactive patrols in community housing and schools
• Report safety issues including vandalism and property damage
• Serve as a point of contact for local services
• Engage in traffic control and road safety measures
• Provide assistance at community events and during emergencies
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Basic security training and first aid preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict-resolution abilities
• Must possess a valid BC Driver’s License
• Familiarity with Skwxwú7mesh customs beneficial
