Join ERM's archaeology and cultural heritage team as a Junior Field Archaeologist in Vancouver. Engage in field surveys and contribute to important archaeological studies while working in dynamic environments.
This full time, limited-term role lasts 9 months with potential for renewal. As a Junior Field Archaeologist, you will participate in various field studies, including reconnaissance, surveys, and excavations. Your focus will be on visual inspections of land surfaces while adhering to health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct archaeological field reconnaissance and surveys
• Visually inspect land for archaeological resources
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Undertake excavation duties for studies
• Perform other related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology preferred
• 0-3 years of archaeological experience
• Field school completion encouraged
• Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions
• Availability for 2 weeks on, 1 week off rotation
