The Opportunity: The incumbent provides support to plant operations with duties such as: front-line contact for employee questions and concerns; HR related reporting, data analysis and metrics; and, benefit and pension administration/inquiries.
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
Manage the HRMS (SAP) in relation to adding new hires, termination, job changes, rate adjustment for all hourly employees
Respond to all payroll and pension related items
Manage and maintain updated information in KRONOS and SAP
Submit documentation to Corporate office and to hourly benefit plan administrator (PBAS) as required
Respond to all in-person and phone inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
Coordinate various payroll, benefit and pension policies and interact with Corporate representatives to ensure objectives are fulfilled
Create statistical reports regarding turnover and trends of hourly staff issues
Support hourly recruitment (applicant selection, interviews, job offers, job fairs, etc.) as required
Support the orientation process as required
Promote positive employee engagement and assist in coordination of employee related events as required
Maintain accurate Human Resource files for hourly and salary employees
What You’ll Bring:
Working towards or completion of a post-secondary education program, diploma or degree in Human Resources management
Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook with a passion for accuracy
Ability to get things done within a fast-paced, unionized environment with minimal supervision
Strong team player with the ability to analyze and problem solve
Professional approach with ability to develop positive working relationships
Willingness to learn and challenge oneself in a continuous improvement setting
Flexibility with shift schedule, based on business needs
