Become a vital part of IMP Aerospace & Defence's finance team as an Analytical Accountant. This position is based in Halifax and supports two essential manufacturing locations, focusing on data-driven insights to enhance operational finance.

We seek a candidate experienced in accounting and finance who is passionate about analyzing operational results and understanding variances. This role provides an opportunity to engage with WIP analysis, costing, and variance explanations, contributing to more informed financial decisions. A curious mindset is essential for digging deep into data across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage WIP continuity and month-end processes
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting




• Investigate discrepancies in production and costs
• Analyze manufacturing cost drivers and activities
• Reconcile data across numerous platforms

Requirements:
• 3–7+ years in accounting or finance roles
• Solid skills in financial analysis and reconciliations
• Experience with ERP systems is beneficial
• Advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis
• Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving
