• Engage with users to map workflows, pain points and operational constraints in Canadian defence and public-sector contexts
• Identify and frame customer problems aligned with the product vision for Cobalt
• Collaborate with customers to prioritise the highest-value problems
• Design and guide iterative delivery plans that alleviate user pain and demonstrate value quickly
• Act as the bridge between users, product and engineering to keep solutions aligned with operational realities
• Continuously refine priorities with customers to ensure adoption and measurable impact
• Champion a user-centric approach across deployments and the wider company
• Support on-site implementation, feedback capture and post-deployment iteration
• Help build understanding of Canadian operational environments, stakeholders and deployment requirements
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate field insight into product direction
• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of technology implementation with Canadian customers
• Travel significantly, often in challenging environments, to work with frontline users and partner organisations
Requirements
Technical proficiency: programming skills, a technical degree, or equivalent experience in a technology company
Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
Independent decision-making under pressure
Willingness to travel and work in office with customers for a significant proportion of your time
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and take high ownership from day one
Confidence to engage with technical subject matter and work closely with engineers and end users alike
Experience in defence or defence technology (ideally)
Familiarity with Canadian defence, national security or public-sector operating environments (ideally)
Experience working with technical products in operationally complex or regulated environments (ideally)
Existing Right to Work in Canada at the time of application
Likely requirement to hold a security clearance or be willing to undergo Canadian security screening
Continuous residency in Canada for at least 5 years for Reliability Status clearance, or 10 years for Secret clearance
