The Town of Whitby seeks a self-motivated Labourer to support its Roads and Traffic operations. This hybrid, hands-on role requires at least one year of experience in roadway maintenance along with the ability to operate various equipment safely. Ideal candidates are solutions-oriented team players who excel in collaboration and communication while working on road repairs, snow clearing, and ensuring public safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain tools and various vehicles
• Conduct flagging and manage traffic control




• Install traffic signs and assist with detours
• Perform roadway maintenance and concrete repairs
• Provide excellent customer service to citizens

Requirements:
• Secondary school diploma required
• Minimum one year experience in roadway maintenance
• Valid Class 'DZ' Driver’s Licence
• Physically fit for strenuous tasks
• Successful completion of Defensive Driving training
