Become a Peer Specialist with Lynx's Early Psychosis Intervention program. This full-time role focuses on providing peer support and psychosocial interventions in a community-based setting.
As a Peer Specialist, you’ll draw on your lived experience to offer emotional and practical guidance to clients facing mental health challenges. You’ll be engaging in family education, job skill development, and community programming, helping clients build relationships and foster empowerment in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychosocial interventions to Lynx EPI clients
• Offer family education and intervention support
• Support clients in job search and skills development
• Facilitate group instruction and independent living skills
• Assist with community engagement and social recreation
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in social/health sciences preferred
• Two years of recovery-oriented lived experience
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Solid knowledge of the mental health system
• Proven experience engaging young people in recovery
