About the Role Our client is seeking a specialized Management Accountant with a focus on Costing to join their dynamic, remote-first finance team. This role is critical for optimising cost management and providing insightful financial analysis for operational efficiency. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining cost accounting systems, analysing production costs, and supporting strategic pricing decisions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, possesses deep expertise in costing methodologies, and excels at collaborating with operational teams to drive profitability from anywhere, contributing to the company's competitive edge through precise financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain robust costing systems and models to accurately track production and operational expenses.
Analyse variances between standard and actual costs, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to gather cost data and improve costing accuracy.
Prepare detailed cost reports, profitability analyses, and support for pricing strategies.
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, with a specific focus on cost drivers and projections.




Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance and operations departments to enhance cost efficiency.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a professional qualification such as CIMA is highly preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in management accounting, with a strong emphasis on cost accounting and analysis.
Proven ability to develop and manage complex cost models in manufacturing or service environments.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and ideally BI tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
