Select People Solutions is working with the Aboriginal Housing Society to find an Accountant to support the organization’s financial operations through accurate reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. This role is responsible for preparing financial statements, management reports, and summaries while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. and financial summariesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes while monitoring financial accuracyWork closely with the Executive Director on financial reporting, analysis, and organizational budgeting initiativesOversee day‑to‑day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month‑end processesMaintain accurate financial controls and ensure the integrity of financial systems and reporting practicesProvide additional financial and administrative support as required by the Executive DirectorRequired Qualifications:Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of progressive full‑cycle accounting or senior bookkeeping experienceStrong experience with accounts payable/receivable, payroll, month‑end processes, and financial reportingStrong appreciation and understanding of Indigenous history, culture, and working with diverse communitiesAbility to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check (and Vulnerable Sector Check if required)Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and strong overall computer skillsBonus Points For:Experience working within Indigenous organizations, housing, or community‑focused non‑profit environmentsPrevious experience with grant funding administration, reporting, and compliance trackingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting toolsExperience supporting audits, board reporting, or multi‑program financial managementStrong understanding of budgeting within government‑funded or grant‑funded organizations#J-18808-Ljbffr
