OverviewThe ASIN Forecasting team in the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization uses statistical methods to answer questions about product demand, infrastructure, pricing, assortment, and delivery times. The team develops advanced data pipelines, builds predictive models, and deploys automated software solutions to provide forecasting insights to business leaders. We are looking for a Software Development Manager to join our team.Key job responsibilitiesLead the team to solve complex technology problems in a fast-paced agile environment, continuously learning and adapting to evolving customer needs.Grow and manage a team of engineers to maintain and scale the infrastructure powering forecasting models and products.Collaborate with stakeholders, software engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products deployed globally.Work with product teams to optimize resource usage and technologies, assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify required resources, and develop schedules to meet milestones.Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, evaluate trade-offs, balance business needs with technical constraints, and encourage responsible risk-taking to maximize business benefit.Demonstrate technical background, attention to detail, and solid problem-solving abilities.Basic Qualifications3+ years of engineering team management experience7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams3+ years of designing or architecting systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web servicesKnowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, certification,
