About the Role Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical Category Manager to oversee a key product category within their extensive FMCG portfolio. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to contribute to strategic category planning and execution from anywhere. You will be responsible for maximizing category performance, driving profitable growth, and ensuring market competitiveness through effective product assortment, pricing, promotion, and placement strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement overarching category strategies to drive sales, market share, and profitability.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and category challenges.
Manage product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities within the assigned category.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective execution of category plans at the retail level.




Work closely with marketing to align brand strategies and promotional efforts with category goals.
Liaise with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure product availability and optimize inventory levels.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in category management , brand management, or a related strategic role within the FMCG industry .
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing product categories.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote work environment and manage projects autonomously.
